Amazing Grace Movie

We'd like to invite anyone who is interested in seeing the movie Amazing Grace to come after Church on Sunday. The show is at AMC Theatre at 1:45. Post here or e-mail me if you're interested.

Happy Valentine's Day!

I thought this photo would be an appropriate one to raise the spirits (or energy levels) of most of our Young Adults group (at least Janell, Casi, and Tera, for sure). I hope everyone enjoyed their Valentine's Day. Hopefully you were restrained in your spending, because we'll find out when we closely examine those spending logs we're filling out. :) My gift to everyone is the calendar for our upcoming events (try to contain your excitement). Don't worry, I'm not expecting gifts in return. If you're so inclined though, I do like milk chocolate and those cheap candy hearts.

Super Bears....Super Bowl!

We'll be having our 1st Annual Super Bowl Party at the McCann's house. Just think, this year we'll actually care about watching the game, and not just the commercials! (When will we go to the bathroom????)

Hopefully you can make it. And, for those of you who are concerned, we are getting cable specifically for this event, so we don't have to watch through the snow that Channel 2 is right now. :)

Crown Update

We're switching the Crown class until Feb. 11th. We decided to wait until after the Super Bowl to get started. Here is a flyer you can e-mail to anyone you'd like to.

Updates...

#1 - If you're interested in the Crown class, please see Teresa in the Church office to pay for and get your materials. We will have our first session on January 14th. Get your materials ASAP, since there is some reading to do prior to the 1st session.

#2 - We won't officially meet on Sunday, but if anyone would like to, this might be a good chance to hang out and watch the Bears game. Anyone have a big screen?? :) I would invite people to our house, but we currently are remodeling, so our living room furniture is spread throughout our kitchen and family room. Reply here if you've got any ideas.

Good News - We'll be doing the Crown Financial class in January

UPDATED - We're getting the Crown materials ordered for the group, so we should have them in a couple weeks. For 1 person, the materials cost $45 and for a couple they are $55. If the cost is an issue for you, please let me (Andy) know and we can work something out. Casi and Sarah have both gone through the class before, and they highly recommend it.

This is a 10 week class, so I would like to get a commitment from people who are interested. We need to make sure we have materials for everyone who is interested. Either e-mail me (andymccann72@hotmail.com) or just reply to this post if you'd like to sign up.

There are about 2 weeks worth of home study prior to the 1st session, so I think we'll start in mid-January with the class. The 1st couple weeks in January, we'll do some single lessons. If anyone has any recommendations, let me know.

We've never had so much fun ice-skating...no injuries! Those sidewalks were tricky though. :)

Christmas Outing!

We here at the TTCC Young Adult group don't want to let Christmas time go past without celebrating together. Come spread yuletide cheer with us in downtown Chicago on Saturday, December 16th. We're going to take the 4:20 train in, and the 10:30 train back. Here's a photo invitation with Jeremy skating last winter. :) You can send it to any friends you want to invite.
